25 Startups Using Twitter

Rodney Rumford over at FaceReviews has an excellent article of 25 startups using Twitter. I’m not entirely sold on the ROI from doing this yet, since Twitter in the grand scheme of things still has a relatively low number of users compared to other social media applications. However, I’m definitely recommending that every company should at least have a Twitter account. In the future, I think it will become a valuable tool.

As Rodney points out, there are definitely marketing benefits:

Calculating the ROI of a Social Media Marketing Campaign

ROI or “Return on Investment” is a large topic of discussion in the world of Social Media advertising. No one seems to have a quantifiable answer and the answer is sometimes answered vaguely. I’ve heard everything from “Well… it’s a long term strategy”, “It helps with your organic search”, “It’s really about brand reputation and management”, to “It’s really impossible to measure the results.”
The truth of the matter is, almost all of these things are correct. However, I disagree that it’s impossible to measure.
