Basic YouTube Template Photo

When you look at a high-profile YouTube page like Barack Obama’s the first thought is they must of had some sort of partnership with youtube and an expensive design firm to layout the page. In truth, it’s just a little background manuplation. In regards to the design there’s not much you can edit in Youtube except for the background and the color scheme. However, a well laid out background can be a good template to start from when designing a YouTube channel. I couldn’t find any workable blank template files that weren’t complete crap, so I made my own.
It’s a 2000X2000 Pixel photo, you’ll want to set the background to no-repeat. It’s sliced up into several different parts:

The Youtube banner will always be white, but you can put a border around it. Then there’s the background for the links at the top of the page and then the left and right columns. You can also change the gray background to anything you want.

You can’t get overly fancy with the design, it needs to stay under 256K, but you can at least make your page a little more professional.

I’ll make a video later on to go through more detail in editing your Youtube page to look more professional, but for those with a little photoshop skills, here you go: a basic template you can start from.

This is great. I’ve been searching for a good template for a while but this is the first really good one I’ve come across. Thanks!
